2nd MERCUR Winter School on Plasma-Astroparticle Physics
RD Plasma » 2nd MERCUR Winter School

The Concept of the PhD School

This PhD School comprises of lectures accompanied by practical tutoring, which is meant to give further insights into specific topics (focus astro, plasma or particle physics to enlarge the students' background in so far underrepresented topics of their individual studies).
The school took place from March 6th (registration) to March 11th, 2016.

Lectures

There will be lectures focusing on the following areas:
• Cosmic ray detection
• Cosmic ray interactions
• Cosmic ray transport

Tutoring

Accompanying the lectures on Cosmic ray transport, interactions, and detection there will be tutoring sessions, which will deal with specific areas of interest.

The topics of the tutoring groups are:
• Astrophysics
• Plasma physics
• Particle physics

Third edition of the school

There will be a 3rd MERCUR Winter School on Plasma-Astroparticle Physics on January 20th-25th, 2019.

First edition of the school
